Climate Change and Carbon

p&e Law acts for a variety of clients including landholders, developers, consultants and government on a wide range of projects and transactions including carbon trading and carbon farming initiatives as well as biodiversity offsets, solar, wind farms and other renewables.

With local governments and both the Queensland and Commonwealth governments taking steps to regulate carbon emissions and their impact on the environment, p&e Law continues to work with clients to help them manage the risks and make the most of opportunities.

p&e Law has assisted clients with coastal development regulation for sea-level rise, negotiate benefits under the Commonwealth’s Emissions Reduction Fund such as through the Carbon Farming Initiative, to negotiate carbon sales contracts, land contracts for renewable projects including commercial contracts and access and use agreements and advised on regulatory and development approvals to ensure commercial success for our clients.
