Cameron is a Senior Associate based in P&E Law’s Brisbane office. He works closely with Lestar Manning and Matt Patterson in agribusiness including the areas of Coal Seam Gas Mining, Renewable Energies and Carbon.

Cameron has a rural background growing up on the Darling Downs and attending University in country New South Wales.  Cameron was attracted to P&E Law because of his interest in law relating to farming.

Cameron has dual qualifications and has practised in accountancy from a small rural office to a large manufacturing company, including corporate taxation and management accounting. He has extensive information technology experience gained through the implementation of complex Enterprise Resource Planning computer systems into multinational companies throughout Australia, Europe, Scandinavia and South America.

During his studies Cameron produced a paper on carbon and cattle farming.

With this background we were glad to welcome Cameron who now practises in assisting landholders with impacts associated with mining and renewable energies throughout Queensland including the Surat Basin. He advises clients on landholder mining (Coal Seam Gas, Petroleum, mining, Pipeline) Conduct and Compensation Agreements, landholder renewable energy projects (Solar Farm/Wind Farm), Alternative Arrangements (Noise Agreements), Make Good Agreements and related agreements such as compulsory acquisition, carbon agreements, offsets, easements, licences, options, leases and related Agribusiness matters.

Cameron also has experience in drafting and negotiating agreements relating to native title and indigenous cultural heritage.

Cameron adopts an informative approach to guide his clients. His previous career in accounting places him in a very unique position to contemplate and advise on complex financial agreements to achieve commercial outcomes, with close attention to detail.

Cameron’s legal skills have been sharpened by his previous work in family law litigation, acting for clients in domestic violence matters and has practiced in the criminal, traffic, civil and administrative law jurisdictions.

When not at work Cameron enjoys time outdoors cycling, skiing, kayaking, rock climbing and is a regular at ParkRun. When time permits, he likes to undertake extended bush walking, high altitude mountaineering and cycling trips.
