Jasmine’s legal acumen has been shaped through senior roles across a broad range of respected institutions. She brings a strong background in government and land council roles, having held senior positions at Cape York Land Council, the Northern Territory Dept of Attorney-General and Justice, the Torres Strait Regional Authority, Crown Law and Safe Work Australia. With an established focus on Native Title law, Jasmine is a trusted advisor to both government bodies and Indigenous communities.

Jasmine has negotiated and acted for Indigenous and State clients on several complex native title claims including Cape York United #1, Kabi Kabi, Gugu Badhun #3,  Jirrbal #4, Wadja, Western Kangoulu, Gaangalu Nation People, Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala #1& #2, Gamilaraay, and Bigambul #3, 4 and 5.  In doing so she has experience in guiding matters through Federal Court appeals, separate questions on matters related to connection and extinguishment, Court assisted mediation processes and consent negotiations.  She also has experience in several non-claimant applications acting for the State of Queensland.

Jasmine has worked closely with Registered Native Title Bodies Corporates both in the Torres Strait and Cape York region, providing sound advice on their obligations arising under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006, assisting in negotiations with government and private sector proponents, and helping to resolve disputes arising post determination.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her border collie and outdoor activities like surfing and hiking.
