Miad is a Solicitor based in P&E Law’s Cairns office, working primarily in the areas of native title and cultural heritage law. Miad has prior experience working in the communication and community development sector.

As a recent solicitor, Miad has experience working on native title claims and advising on future acts. Miad has also worked on advising, drafting and negotiating a number of cultural heritage management plans (CHMPs) and agreements, including whole of country CHMPs, and has also worked on Indigenous Land Use Agreements. This has included for major infrastructure developments such as motorways, water and sewage capital works, transmission lines, social housing, industrial zones and expansion of marine and health precincts.

Having worked both overseas and in Australia with various government agencies, not-for-profit and aid organisations, Miad has been committed to working with individuals and communities to achieve just outcomes and aims to continue this work as a solicitor.

Outside of work, Miad enjoys spending time in nature, reading, photography and tennis.
