Our Native Title legal team recently attended the AIATSIS Summit 2026 at the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre on the lands of the Kombumerri people of the Yugambeh language region.
The team joined with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, native title practitioners, legal experts, researchers and community organisations from across Australia. The Summit’s theme (Our Truth. Our Power. Our Future) provided a powerful platform for discussions on native title, self-determination, governance, cultural heritage, rights and representation. Throughout the week, the team gained valuable insights into emerging legal developments, strengthened professional networks, and engaged with existing clients.
The Summit concluded with the AIATSIS Gala Dinner and Awards Celebration, an inspiring evening recognising excellence, leadership and innovation across Indigenous Australia. The gala provided an opportunity to reflect on the week’s discussions, celebrate achievements, and reaffirm a shared commitment to supporting strong, resilient and self-determined First Nations communities.
